I work in a traditional method with oil and acrylic paints on canvas and board.
The work is representational in nature as I explore the world around me through my art.
I paint because there is an inner drive to create that is very satisfying and challenging. At this stage in my life I realize there is a discipline required to keep creating as I cannot get the time back. I am always on the lookout for a special moment to capture in paint. This journey is usually captured with a click. I continue from there and strive to recapture the moment, exaggerated and amplified on my painting surface.
Every painting is a journey of lights, darks warm and cool, hard and soft edges. Hopefully what results is something special. A painting that can be admired and shared.
My vision is to evoke an awareness of the natural world around us in its many forms.
