Cathy Lorraway Cathy’s travels have motivated her to shed light on the beauty of her Canadian home landscape. Combining outdoor sketching and painting with time in the studio, her colourful landscapes capture the changing light of four seasons. She aims to not only encourage environmental stewardship but also to provide comfort and appreciation to local communities that beauty is still present.
She is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art Drawing and Painting program (A.O.C.A) and BFA, University of Toronto (BEd) and the University of Ottawa (BA in English). Her pastel, acrylic and oil paintings are also shaped by her experience teaching high school art and photography for three decades.
Cathy continues to teach students of all ages and volunteers as the Fireside Lounge Coordinator for the Burlington Fine Art Association. She is also past President of Arts Burlington. Cathy’s award winning paintings have found homes in Canada, the United States and Australia.
