I was lucky enough to attend the Etobicoke School for the Arts in high school, with a major in Drama and minor in Visual Arts. It was a fabulous school and nurtured the love of art in all of us young students. I then went on to complete a BFA in Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor and visual art went out the window for many years. Happily I rediscovered the joy of painting and drawing by taking art classes at the AGB.
Starting around 2010, I have had two main mentors, Kevin Willson and Sandee Ewasiuk to instruct me in sketching and painting. I love colour and usually paint in a bold and stylized manner in acrylic. I really enjoy painting on a large scale. In future I would like to try more mediums and keep experimenting while also sketching and taking more life drawing classes. I’m very glad to be a new member of the BFAA and look forward to meeting everyone and sharing our love of art.
