David Raye
I am originally from England and came to Canada in 1979. I was a plumber for fifty years before retiring to Burlington in 2013. I am married with two grown children, four grown grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
I have been painting on and off all my life but only adopted a serious interest after I retired and now really enjoy my hobby. I prefer to paint in acrylics and I also use resin to cover some of my paintings. I also enjoy photography, especially outdoor scenes, many of which I incorporate into my art pieces.
Last year I published my first book, a non-fiction collection of thoughts and musings about climate change, social interactions, population growth and the energy crisis. While I will never be another Stephen King, I have managed to sell quite a few copies.
Here are some examples of my art pieces.
