Artist statement:
Over the last 30 years i have worked diligently at my art
and have been fortunate to show my sculptures, paintings,
photography and art installations in many galleries
throughout Ontario.
Many sculptures and paintings have found their homes with
some very special people in Canada as well as Europe.
My interest in art started at a very young age. During my
childhood and into my adulthood i was always drawn to
sculpture and photography. I have taken many drawing
and painting courses as well as workshops related to art
making.
I like my art to tell a story and engage the viewer into a
discussion about the art work.
Over the years i have worked with themes such as:
the goddess revisited;
Ludwig van Beethoven: his music and deafness;
pears as subjects in different settings and media;
the art of healing: i.e. My healing quilt;
paintings of various birds in trees, shrubs and foliage on
78 rpm records;
photographing numerous water towers all throughout
Ontario.
The materials i have worked with while creating my
sculptures are stone, bronze, different kinds of metals,
wood and glass.
My creative mind never stops and i am forever grateful
that i have the ability and courage to create.
