“The harmony of Shapes and Colours”
Bio and Artist’s statement
Tina Baker resides in the city of Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
As an Interior Designer, her passion has always been in the Arts. Manipulation of colour, shape and form has been at the root of her creativity.
The foundations obtained from Interior Design at Sheridan College has provided Tina with a solid platform.
Since her retirement in 2017, Tina has further developed her fine art skills. Tina’s inspiration comes from nature and ordinary daily events.
Having studied oil, acrylic and soft pastel, Tina enjoys all three mediums. Currently, Tina is working with acrylic and oil and following what inspires her in the moment.
Being conscious of her surroundings and environment, Tina strives to achieve balance, harmony and authenticity in her art. Although Tina identifies herself a “Modern Impressionist”, she is equally passionate about creating Abstract Art. Abstract art form is currently Tina’s focus.
Tina’s goal is to evoke emotion and joy, bringing energy and life to her canvas.
“A successful painting is one in which I have totally immersed myself and the creative process has taken over.”
