Beth Bennett
Instinctively, Beth is an abstract painter and often, but not exclusively, nature is her theme.
In a painting, colour is of primary importance, texture is always a fundamental detail, whether there is some or not, and an uncomplicated composition is often at the heart of her artwork.
Beth's experience comes from courses, books and a lot of experimentation. Experimentation is a much loved, on-going journey. Many colours and styles work out and some don't but Beth always benefits in the end.
Growing up Beth was always dancing and her life as an artist began as a dance student at the School of the Arts in Mississauga. While she gained her university degree she also took photography at Sheridan College but, as an abstract painter, she is self-taught.
As a BFAA member Beth has many friends and has also gained knowledge through this great association. After all, “Learning never exhausts the mind." Leonardo da Vinci
