Erica Dinsmore
When people see Erica's art for the first time it is often referred to as "Happy Art". True to her spirit, Erica is happiest when she is in a creative space, doing what she loves.
In 2014, Erica took a sabbatical from her career. This significantly changed her life. Erica followed her heart and ventured into the art world, and by 2017 was successfully selling her art.
Erica loves painting with bright colours, creating texture and movement, and prefers painting in an impressionistic style. This allows her the greatest freedom without the worry of precision or perfect composition - it frees her soul and her imagination.
Her love of water; passion for sailing with family and friends on the Great Lakes, and time spent on Florida's Gulf Coast have greatly influenced her art and have contributed to her unique and vibrant style.
Erica's art has received many accolades from her participation in art shows and juried exhibitions; including receiving the honour of "viewer's choice" award at the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre, and a 2019 commission to create artwork by LYRA, the Lake Yacht Racing Association on Lake Ontario for their annual sailing regatta.
Since a young woman Erica has had a passion for art and the art world. It is Erica's belief that if one pursues what one is most passionate about, you will love doing it... and in doing so will reap the greatest rewards and personal fulfillment.
Erica is a member of AGB, BFAA & JCHAC and is proud to be a Canadian born artist.
