Isabel Haslam
Isabel began her art journey with the Scarborough Art Guild where her love of oil painting was born. She continued to explore different methods and media through the London Art Gallery and through courses and workshops at the DVSA and the Art Gallery of Burlington. She is a member of the Burlington Fine Arts Association and the Canadian Glaze Oil Society. Kathy Bailey introduced her to glaze oil painting and she has found this a wonderful way to express her feelings about nature.
Isabel’s work embodies her love of nature. She enjoys expressing the dynamic interplay of light and dark, and the brilliance of colour in nature. She is currently exploring the application of glazing to portraits, figures and still life. This exciting journey of discovery of her talents as an artist continues. Her work has been shown in Scarborough, Georgetown, Dundas, Mississauga, Tillsonburg, Milton and Burlington.
