Anne Opavsky
Breathe in the beauty of the view.
This is my first step.
The view may be on a panoramic scale or a more focused scene or small vignette of nature. Inspiration follows as I take in the moment and the space around me, looking forward to capturing the beauty I see and feel with colour and brush.
As I paint, I am drawn back to that place, that adventure, and the spirit of the experience. I delight in sharing my work, engaging others, perhaps evoking their own memories.
Primarily self-taught, taking opportunities for workshops and studio programs over time, I have enjoyed extending my range and now work in acrylic as well as watercolour. Landscapes, elements of nature, and travels near and far are favourite subjects. These lend themselves well to the experiential inspiration I work from.
